- Acidification - what to do against hyperacidity?
- Hyperacidity - positive action
How does acidity develop? What are the causes of an over-acidified stomach? If more acid metabolic wastes occur in the body than can be neutralized and excreted, chronic overacidification of the organism occurs in the long term. The acid-base balance reaches an imbalance and the organism can only work suboptimal. The body now resorts to mechanisms that counteract this imbalance. For example, the body first deposits excess acids in the connective tissue so that they do not dissolve out and excrete once the blood has again sufficiently basic compounds.
Main reason: wrong nutrition
However, a prolonged shortage of alkaline mineral salts and a concomitant acid load will result in these repositories becoming repositories. This can lead to pain, movement and functional limitations of individual cells or even entire tissues.
In addition, the body then resorts to minerals from their own stocks, z. B. on calcium from the bones, which can lead to osteoporosis in the longer term. It is a creeping process, sometimes lasting for years. Dietary habits consisting of more than 25% acid-forming foods (meat, fish, cheese, sausages, etc.) are unfortunately widespread among most people in developed countries. Thus, an acid burden as well as a mineral deficiency of the organism is forced.
The meat consumption is too high
In other words, fruit and vegetable consumption is way too low. The recommendation of the German Nutrition Society to eat fruit and / or vegetables 5 times a day is followed by only a few. A vicious circle begins: Acid acids must be neutralized by alkaline mineral salts. Mineral salts are missing, the organism acidifies.
